Imad Wasim Dispels Rumors, Focuses on T20 World Cup Victory

Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has once again addressed speculations surrounding his relationship with Mohammad Amir and white-ball captain Babar Azam, emphasizing the team’s singular focus on winning the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.

During an interaction with the media at the national team’s training session for the Ireland tour, Imad reiterated his commitment to supporting Babar Azam and dismissed any rumors of discord within the team.

“We have no issues with Babar. He is the captain of the team and we are all supporting him,” stated Imad, affirming his allegiance to the team’s leadership.

Imad highlighted the collective goal of the team, emphasizing their aspiration to clinch the T20 World Cup trophy. He spoke about his and Amir’s return to international cricket, expressing their shared determination to secure victory in the tournament.

“Our goal is to play those semi-finals and finals, and then to win that tournament,” Imad declared, underscoring the team’s ambition to achieve ultimate success on the global stage.

The Pakistan men’s cricket team is currently engaged in a three-match training session ahead of their T20I series against Ireland. Scheduled to take place at Clontarf in Dublin on 10th, 12th, and 14th May 2024, these matches serve as vital preparation for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the United States of America (USA).
