Renowned news anchor Iqra Bukhari has made a triumphant return to the television screens, marking her comeback by joining Dunya News after a hiatus of one year from the media industry. The seasoned journalist, celebrated for her articulate delivery and insightful analysis, officially resumed her broadcasting journey on February 2nd, 2024.
Iqra Bukhari’s career trajectory reflects her dedication and passion for broadcast journalism. Commencing her professional journey in 2015 at Neo TV, where she was a part of the launching team, she swiftly gained recognition for her exceptional talent. In 2018, she embarked on a new chapter by joining 7 News, though her tenure there was relatively short-lived, spanning only eight months.
However, it was her pivotal move to Pakistan’s first HD news channel, 92 News, in the same year that propelled her to prominence. Bukhari’s tenure at 92 News not only solidified her reputation as a proficient news anchor but also granted her the opportunity to diversify her role, as she transitioned to become the host of the morning show “Subh Savaray Pakistan” in 2019.
Despite her successful stint as a morning show host, Iqra Bukhari’s passion for news anchoring never waned. In 2020, she returned to her roots, resuming her role as a news anchor on 92 News, where she conducted various transmissions and special bulletins, captivating audiences with her engaging presentation style. Along with news anchoring, during this phase of her career, Iqra also also hosted crime show ‘Haqeeqat’ on 92 News and also had another stint of hosting 92 News’ morning show.
Following her departure from 92 News in 2022, Bukhari took a well-deserved break from the demanding realm of media. However, her hiatus was interrupted briefly in 2023 when she graced the screens as the host of an Eid special show on PTV, reminding viewers of her enduring charm and expertise.
Now, with her return to Dunya News, Iqra Bukhari embarks on a new chapter in her illustrious career, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a renewed commitment to delivering quality journalism to audiences nationwide.
