Acclaimed news anchor, TV presenter, and broadcast journalist Iqra Haris is all set to make a grand return to the TV screen, much to the delight of her fans. Iqra Haris, known for her charismatic presence and impeccable hosting skills, is making waves as she reclaims her spot in the limelight.

She made her initial appearance on Samaa as the host of their digital show, “Zor Ka Jorh Asia Cup 2023 Special.”

While this may feel like a fresh beginning for Iqra on Samaa, it’s worth noting that she’s not a stranger to the channel. This marks her second stint with Samaa, the channel where she started her career back in the early 2010s.

Iqra Haris’s journey through the media landscape has been nothing short of remarkable. She briefly joined Aleif TV and hosted a web show for GNN after being the morning show host for Discover Pakistan, a role she held for over a year since joining the channel in 2022.

In an exclusive chat with MediaSpring Pk, Iqra Haris shared her thoughts on this new chapter in her career. She said, “Returning to Samaa feels like coming home. It’s a channel that holds a special place in my heart, where I spent an important time on my journey in media and journalism. I’m thrilled to be part of the Defence Day special program, and I can’t wait to unveil my own weekend chat show. It’s going to be a fantastic journey, and I hope to bring meaningful conversations to our viewers.”

Iqra Haris, formerly known as Iqra Shehzad, boasts nearly more than a decade of experience in the media industry. Throughout her career, she has worked with some of the top channels, including City 42, Samaa, Dunya News, 92 News, 24 News, Discover Pakistan, Alief TV, and GNN. Beyond news anchoring, she has hosted various current affairs and news shows, as well as special transmissions.

Her career took an intriguing turn in late 2019 when she decided to take a break from the TV screens and ventured into web show hosting. Iqra Haris became the face of the popular web show, “Let’s Talk with Iqra Haris.” Additionally, she served as the digital host of the Punjab Government Irrigation Department’s weekly digital show, showcasing her versatility in the digital realm.

In 2021, her return to television occurred when she took over the role of hosting Pakistan Television’s Independence Day special series, a 14-day program for the national broadcaster. Subsequently, in 2022, she joined Discover Pakistan as the morning show host, making a significant impact in the morning television landscape.
