Acclaimed news anchor and TV presenter and broadcast journalist Iqra Haris is set to return to TV screen with Pakistan Television. The TV anchor turned web show host will be hosting the Independence Day special shows series of the national broadcaster.
Iqra has been doing the recordings of the show and it is expected that the PTV will release the promo this weekend.
While talking to MediaSpring Pk Iqra said:
“I took a break from TV last year and branched out to web and digital shows hosting, which has been a fine experience so far. I always wanted to come back to TV screen with something different and interesting project. This Independence month special show for Pakistan Television is something that I was looking forward to. It is different from what I have done on national television in the past but has been a great experience. We all have our memories of golden time of PTV and how it played part in our 14 August celebrations and memories. With this project I get to relive that feel again and I tried to play part to bring back that charm which was signature of the PTV during the independence month.”
Iqra Haris (previously known as Iqra Shehzad) is associated with media industry for almost a decade and has an experience of working with top channels such as City 42, Dunya News, Samaa, 92 News, and 24 News besides news anchoring Iqra has hosted various current affairs and news shows along with special transmissions. Iqra also hosts web show, Let’s Talk with Iqra Haris and she is also digital host of Punjab Govt Irrigation department’s weekly digital show.
The series of Iqra Haris hosted special shows in spirit of Independence Day will be airing from 1 to 14 August on PTV.
