The latest addition to the electronic news media of Pakistan Suno TV has roped in some of the big names of the media industry and has also acquired some really talented aspiring media professionals. One such name is Sadia Sarwar, a news anchor from Lahore.
Sadia joined Suno as part of the launching team and she was also part of the maiden transmission day of the channel.
While talking to MediaSpring PK about joining Suno TV and her experience thus far, Sadia Said.
“So far the experience has been great. From a regional news channel to a national one is a huge jump for me, when I look at it. I think this is the opportunity to utilise what I have learned at the regional news channels as well as learn new things and gain experience of national media. There is a lot to learn actually, there are many seniors here in Suno who I really look up to. Senior news anchors like Ayisha Zulfiaqr, Zeeshan Bashir, and Adeel Rizvi are to name a few. I am looking forward to pick their brains. Suno is a good experience and also a challenge but I am sure this will turn out to be a great learning that will help me grow as a broadcast journalist and news anchor.”
Sadia Sarwar says that Irza Khan is her favorite anchor, “Honestly, I decided to become a news anchor because of Irza Khan, seeing her on screen as a news anchor has inspired me a lot. I really like and admire Irza Aapi and her work,” said the news anchor.
Saudi Arabia-born Sadia Sarwar moved to Lahore with her parents for her schooling and education. Sadia holds an MPhil in Mass Communications degree from the Lahore College for Women University (LCWU).
