Renowned broadcast journalist and TV anchor, Farwa Waheed is the newest addition in the team of Najam Sethi Show. The face of 24 News and City 42 road shows, Farwa, has made a comeback to the studio as the anchor of the show with expert Najam Sethi on the opposite seat.
The seat was previously occupied by Syeda Ayesha Naz, who left the City News Network last month to join yet-to-be launched Suno TV.
Farwa has been hosting Zaban e Khalq on 24 News and Aakhir Kion on City 42, both road shows, for more than two years.

Talking about her comeback to the studio and working with Najam Sethi, Farwa said:
“It is a challenging show and a difficult task. Of course, it does not have the challenges of a road show but it is a whole different ball game altogether. However, I am not only enjoying this studio comeback but also enjoying these challenges and taking these as a new learning every day. The response so far has been phenomenal, which is very motivating. Moderating someone of the stature of Najam Sethi takes a lot of homework, I start my preperaations, research, and reading at 10 am and it goes on until the last minute before the start of the recording of the show. The feedback I got from Najam Sethi [sb] has been great so far as well.”
The Najam Sethi Show airs Monday-Wednesday at 11 pm on 24 News, and it is a hugely popular show on digital with it’s clips getting views in big numbers and clips from the show getting viral every now and then.

Farwa Waheed is a graduate of media studies from the University of Punjab Punjab and studied communication studies at Turkey’s Pamukkale University. She still aspires to be a documentary filmmaker. At Punjab University she also started her career as an RJ on Campus Radio. Her journey wth TV started in 2013 when she did an internship at Pakistan Television. In 2016, she started her career as a reporter on Dunya News and later she became a news anchor on the channel. Later that year she joined 92 News HD as a news anchor, however, that stint ended soon and in January 2017, Farwa joined City News Network.
At City News Network Farwa has been the face of the newscast team, conducted countless bulletins and hosted many special transmissions. She is also frequent eid shows and special occasion shows host for the channel. In 2019, she left the news anchor role and took up the studio show 24 Special and later in 2020 she took up the roadshows for both 24 News and City 42.
Besides being a media personality Farwa has a great interest in poetry. She not only has great taste in Urdu poetry but she also writes poetry.

Farwa is also a freelance sports presenter and pitchside anchor, a skill she started to exhibit in 2022 by hosting pre-match shows multiple cricket events, and hosting red carpet of various sports events in Lahore and Islamabad. She was also the co-host of Mega Star League Draft 2022.
