Mahira Khan opened up about her experience working in Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui’s directorial debut. In the light of this experience, she also confided in her confidence in Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui as a director.
The Superstar actress shared a poster of the short film on Instagram.
Sheheryar Munawar will be stepping into the world of directing with this short film ‘Prince Charming’.
Sharing the poster of the film, Mahira Khan wrote, “As actors we make ourselves vulnerable to our directors, to the audiences, to the world at large.. but a lot of times we protect ourselves as well, by not fully tapping into memories or thoughts that are too dark for us to handle. I know, I do that many times to protect myself.”
Addressing Sheheryar Munawar, she said, “Sometimes though, you let your director tap into that vulnerable you. It’s scary but it’s also freeing. Sherry, I surrendered to your vision and I don’t regret it one bit. I am so so proud of you.. as your friend and as your actor.”
She also mentioned that it was a pleasure to work with fellow actor Zahid Ahmed and the entire team for this project.
Ending her note with a message for the director, Mahira wrote, “sherrryyy, may you shine bright like a diamond, always”.
