The maiden Ramazan show of Geo Kahani, Iftar Mulaqaat is hosted by graceful and apt Hina Khwaja Bayat and the reigns of the kitchen are in Chef Shai’s masterly hands.
The show promises to bring one celebrity every day and they started off with none other than Javed Sheikh, a Pakistani actor, producer and director who is valued in the Bollywood & Lollywood.
Both Hina Bayat and Javed Sheikh had a very enjoyable conversation with quite a few walks down the memory lane. Javed Sheikh was in a very jovial mood, all set for Ramadan and he shared a lot of tidbits about his personal life. A few of them were very shocking and something everyone wonders when it comes to a celebrity like him.
“When I go abroad, I prefer staying at an apartment so that I can cook my own food”
Yes, guilty as charged, Javed Sheikh gives up the pampering and ditz of a hotel in order to bring a semblance of normalcy in his otherwise glamorous routine, being a celebrity and all. He stays in an apartment and cooks his own food. While we were still reeling with this detail, he further added,
“I’m a really good cook!”
He was very forthcoming with all the other questions and seemed genuinely interested in talking about the Pakistani Film industry. His parting words were those of a very useful piece of advice…
“An actor should not be overconfident on to the point that he start to think that he knows all. I still try to learn every day as my learning process hasn’t ended yet.”
