One of the most promising news anchors and former face of Waqt News, Javeria Salim has left Nawa e Waqt group to join Dunya News Network. Javeria has joined the network for their upcoming project the details of the project are yet to be revealed.
Javeria broke this news on her social media:
While talking to MediaSpring PK Javeria Saleem said,
“This opportunity looked promsing to me therefore I opted for it as one should never stay away from growth and learning opportunities. I am really looking forward to this new place and new role of mine. Having said that I have all the respect for Waqt News as it has been a mentor of a place for me in this field.“
Javeria Saleem holds an MSc degree in Communication Studies from Punjab University. Her practical experience with media started with Daily Times in 2009 where she was an Intern. After completing her degree she joined IT industry and stayed with the industry for six years in various capacities as she worked for top IT organizations of Pakistan such as OvexTechnologies Pakistan, Faces Pakistan, and SoloInsight Inc.
Earlier this year Javeria left the IT industry to join media as a broadcast journalist. In April 2016, Javeria joined Nawa e Waqt group as a news anchor for Waqt TV. Within short span of time, she became an important part of the newscast team of the network and face of the channel.
Earlier this month, Javeria left Waqt News to join Dunya News Network as a news anchor for the forthcoming new project of the news channel.
