Jaweria Rauf Bids Farewell to International Cricket after 12 Years

Jaweria Rauf, a prominent figure in Pakistan Women’s cricket, has officially announced her retirement from international cricket. Her career spanned over 12 years, marked by dedicated performances and representing Pakistan in both One Day Internationals (ODIs) and T20 Internationals (T20Is).

Jaweria Rauf debuted in T20Is during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2012 against South Africa. Her journey continued with the ODI debut against Ireland in 2013. Throughout her tenure, she played four ODIs and 13 T20Is for the national team.

Reflecting on her retirement, Jaweria expressed a blend of emotions, stating, “With a blend of nostalgia and gratitude, I announce my retirement from international cricket. It has been an incredible journey filled with highs and lows. I consider it an honour and privilege to have represented my country at the highest level.” She extended her gratitude to the Pakistan Cricket Board for the opportunities provided during her career.
