Karachi Whites secured their place in the Pakistan Cup final after a bad light-affected match against Multan ended with a 43-run victory through the DLS method.
Saim Ayub and Shan Masood’s opening partnership provided a solid foundation for Karachi Whites, amassing 106 runs. While Masood scored 41, Saim Ayub emerged as the top scorer with a brilliant knock of 95. Despite a good start, Karachi lost wickets periodically, ending their innings at 280 in 44.3 overs.
Multan’s reply was led by Haseebullah’s outstanding century (106* off 108 balls). However, the team struggled to maintain momentum, ending at 229-9 in 41 overs as rain interruptions forced the match to conclude via DLS.
Sohail Khan’s impressive four-wicket haul for Karachi Whites and notable performances by Imran and Sadaqat from Multan weren’t enough to alter the outcome. Karachi Whites will now face Peshawar in the final showdown at Pindi Cricket Stadium.
The match will take place on Sunday, promising an intense battle for the coveted Pakistan Cup title.
