7th Sky Entertainment has brought to our screens another intriguing storyline with complex relationships, heartbreaks, strong characters, and misunderstandings. Kasa-e-Dil, produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, seemed like a love triangle when its teasers were released but as the story progresses; we can see that there is a lot beyond that. Affan Waheed, Komal Aziz, Hina Altaf, and Ali Ansari starrer Kasa-e-Dil has kept us hooked from its onset and now that four episodes are down, we are completely invested in the story.
So far we have been shown two families—one of Somia (played by Hina Altaf) and one of Adan (Affan Waheed). Somia belongs to a middle class family whose father worked in Adan’s office. Somia’s father died of a heart attack on the night of her brother’s mehndi. After this, things started getting difficult in their life as Somia’s aunt accused Somia of trapping her son Hatim. Hatim and Somia have been in love with each other since childhood but Hatim’s mother is unable to accept this reality and does not like seeing Somia and Hatim’s interactions. Meanwhile, their cousin Rahila is also in love with Hatim but is married to Somia’s brother Nouman and when she finds out that Hatim rejected her because of Somia, she also does not leave any chance of making things difficult for Somia.
Then, there is Adan’s family, who has a cousin Shireen (played by Komal Aziz) secretly in love with him. Adan, however, loses his heart to Somia when he sees her one day standing on the bus stop. Somia does not know about Adan and neither does Adan know about any whereabouts of Somia. Adan though captured the moment on his phone and saved it as his phone’s wallpaper. This led Rahila to find out about Adan’s feelings for Somia when he visits their house to condole for the loss of Somia’s father and forgot his phone there.
Overall, Kasa-e-Dil has an interesting story with complex relationships. The story is compelling so far and it has attained a place in favorite dramas list of the season. Somia and Adan’s meeting is on the cards very soon as shown in the preview of the next episode and we are excitedly looking forward to it. Have you watched the serial?
