In an unexpected turn of events, renowned Pakistani scriptwriter, director, and poet Khalilur Rahman Qamar has hinted at casting actress Mahira Khan in his upcoming film, “Mirza Jatt.” This announcement has taken many by surprise, given the history of tension between the two celebrities.
Back in 2020, a social media spat arose after Mahira Khan, known for her role in “The Legend of Maula Jatt,” criticized Qamar’s remarks towards social activist Marvi Sirmad. The acclaimed director, known for his strong opinions, expressed his disapproval of Mahira’s actions, stating in an interview that he did not hate Mahira but disliked her actions, a sentiment he claimed would not change.
Despite their past feud, it appears the two have decided to put their differences aside. Qamar has now announced that Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed will star together in “Mirza Jatt.” When asked about their previous conflict, Qamar stated, “Yes, there were differences, but now we just have to work.”
The news has sparked mixed reactions online. Some fans are thrilled at the prospect of seeing Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed share the screen again, while others remain skeptical about the potential collaboration. The dynamic between the two actors, combined with Qamar’s powerful storytelling, has certainly set the stage for an eagerly anticipated release.
