Lahore Qalandars Announce Star-Studded Squad for Guyana Global Super League

Lahore Qalandars have unveiled their squad for the inaugural Guyana Global Super League (GSL), blending international cricket stars, experienced local players, and promising graduates from their celebrated Player Development Program. The tournament will run from 26 November to 7 December 2024 in Guyana.

Squad Highlights:

The Pakistani lineup includes all-rounder Faheem Ashraf, wicketkeeper-batter Muhammad Akhlaq, top-order batter Mirza Tahir Baig, and leg-spinner Arif Yaqoob, forming a strong core for the Qalandars.

The overseas roster boasts:

  • South Africa’s wrist-spinner Tabraiz Shamsi
  • West Indies all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite
  • England’s trio: Tom Abell, Luke Wells, and Adam Rossington
  • Canadian seamer Kaleem Sana

In alignment with the Qalandars’ vision of nurturing Pakistani talent, the squad includes four graduates from their Player Development Program: fast bowlers Salman Mirza and Tayyab Abbas, top-order batter Mirza Tahir Baig, and all-rounder Muhammad Faizan.

The squad will soon depart for Guyana to begin their preparations for the much-anticipated tournament.
