Lahore Qalandars have successfully completed trials for their renowned Player Development Program (PDP) at the Qalandars-UOL High-Performance Centre, with more than 12,000 aspiring cricketers from across Pakistan vying for a place in the program. Held at the University of Lahore, the trials witnessed young batters, bowlers, and wicketkeepers showcasing their skills under the watchful eyes of Lahore Qalandars’ stars, including Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, and Fakhar Zaman, along with the senior coaching staff.
The PDP trials were further supported by Punjab Sports Minister Mr. Faisal Ayub Khokhar, Lahore Qalandars’ CEO Mr. Atif Rana, and Chairman of the University of Lahore Mr. Awais Raoof, all of whom emphasized the significance of grassroots cricket development in Pakistan.
Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana commented, “The remarkable turnout for our PDP trials reflects the trust and dedication of aspiring cricketers in our system. For nine years, we have worked to create a path for young talent, and we remain committed to building tomorrow’s champions and making a positive impact both on and off the field.”
Mr. Faisal Ayub Khokhar added, “Witnessing the energy and passion of these young players is inspiring. The collaboration between Lahore Qalandars and the University of Lahore is creating a synergy that transforms raw talent into future stars for Pakistan.”
The final list of selected players will be announced tomorrow, and these promising cricketers will have the chance to train with experienced professionals, aiming to advance their careers under Lahore Qalandars’ guidance.
