Lanka T10 League Set to Ignite Sri Lanka’s Cricketing Calendar in December

 The eagerly anticipated Lanka T10 League is all set to captivate cricket fans as it kicks off from 12th to 23rd December 2023. Originally planned for June, the tournament was rescheduled to December to align with Sri Lanka’s domestic and international cricket calendar, ensuring optimal participation and excitement.

As Sri Lanka’s newest addition to the annual cricketing calendar, the Lanka T10 League promises to showcase the best of international cricket talent alongside the country’s top stars. The action-packed competition will also provide a platform for young talents in Sri Lanka to share the field with their idols and learn from the best.

“We have great confidence that this tournament will be a resounding success and help Sri Lanka Cricket stay at the forefront of the evolving trends in the game,” expressed Mr. Shammi Silva, President of Sri Lanka Cricket.

The tournament will feature six men’s teams and four women’s teams, representing different regional cricket epicenters. Each team will comprise a squad of 16 players, including six foreign players, adding a global flavor to the competition.

TTen Sports Management and TTen Global Sports, in collaboration with Innovative Production Group FZE (IPG), have secured the lead event rights for the Lanka T10 League. Mr. Shaji ul Mulk, Chairman of TTen Global Sports, representing the event rights partner, expressed his excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to bring the electrifying brand of T10 cricket to Sri Lanka, and we express our gratitude to SLC for their unwavering support. This league holds significant value as it is licensed by a popular full member like SLC.”

Matches will be played under lights at some of Sri Lanka’s top international cricket venues, enhancing the spectator experience and adding to the overall spectacle of the tournament.
