The world’s leading beauty brand L’Oréal Paris celebrated their latest ‘Ambassador of Fashion’ platform collaboration with renowned fashion design house Élan with a ‘Legendary Showcase’ on Day 1 of PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week, followed by a ‘Legendary Soiree’ on the same evening. The Legends Collection pays tribute to three fashion and beauty icons: Madam Noor Jehan, Tahira Syed, and Babra Sharif.
For the ‘Legends’ collection, leading fashion house Élan designed a bespoke capsule collection, inspired by the Excellence Crème color palette and the style of these three legendary women, which was showcased in an allocated segment on Day 1 of PLBW 2015. The ramp looks were recreated by image consultant, Nabila, who was also the stylist behind the Legends collaboration. The showcase featured L’Oréal Paris official spokesperson Mehreen Syed, and leading models Amna Babar, and Cybil Chowdhry. The music for the ramp showcase was composed by True Brew Records. Nadir Firoz Khan of NFK Photography was the photographer for the campaign.
The Legendary Soiree paying tribute to the three legends and celebrating the campaign was hosted in collaboration by Élan and L’Oréal Paris Excellence Crème with event management done by J&S Events and live music performance by Jamal Rahman. Among those in attendance at the event were: Managing Director L’Oréal Pakistan Musharaf Hai, Marketing Director L’Oréal Pakistan Junaid Murtaza, General Manager – CPD at L’Oréal Pakistan Moazzam Ali Khan, Singers Atif Aslam, Meesha Shafi, Ali Zafar and Ali Azmat, designer and host Khadijah Shah, and designers HSY, Kamiar Rokni, Ali Xeeshan amongst many others.
In regards to collaboration, Creative Director of Élan, Khadijah Shah, commented,
“Partnering with L’Oréal Paris under the umbrella of their ‘Ambassador of Fashion’ platform for the Legends collection is a unique way of bringing beauty and fashion together. I had the pleasure of celebrating the style of three legendary women of Pakistan by designing a bespoke luxury prêt collection that captures their aura and personality.”
Speaking about the collection, image consultant, Nabila commented
“The experience of working with L’Oréal for the Legends collection was very refreshing as I had the privilege of recreating the looks of three of the most iconic women of Pakistan. I thoroughly enjoyed this project as each of these legends had a very distinct sense of style, be it Madam Noor Jahan’s elegant bun, Babra’s short bob or Tahira’s flowing shiny locks.”
