Mahwish Nisar, the seasoned broadcast journalist and TV anchor, has returned to Lahore after a two-year tenure with Bol News in Karachi. She now embarks on a new chapter of her career as she joins Public News in Lahore.
Departing from Bol News earlier this week, Mahwish expressed her excitement about her new role, stating:
“I am genuinely excited to embark on this new journey with Public News. It is a homecoming as I have moved back to Lahore, and joining Public News is a good opportunity. My time at Bol News was invaluable, but I believe change is essential. Public News has lately built a reputation for delivering quality news content, and I am eager to contribute to their team. I look forward to bringing insightful reporting and engaging discussions to our audience, ensuring that we continue to uphold the highest standards of journalism. With the support of my colleagues and viewers, I am confident that together, we can make a meaningful impact in the media landscape.”
Her departure from Bol News signifies the end of a two-year journey, during which Mahwish navigated various roles with finesse. Notably, Bol News has faced challenges recently, with incidents of terminations and salary delays. However, Mahwish’s professional trajectory spans beyond Bol News; her journey in journalism began in 2008 at Din News, followed by notable stints at Dunya TV, Waqt News, 92 News HD, and 24 News where she contributed significantly to the channels’ success.
