The TV and film actress Mansha Pasha showed her anger towards a fairness cream brand that used her picture without permission for the print ad of their product.
Pakistan based whitening product Faiza beauty cream carries Mansha Pasha’s picture in the print ad for their campaign to promote the fairness product. The use of this picture of the actress was without her consent.
The actress adressed this issue on her social media earlier today and expressed that she does not support idea of fairness cream and moreover how her picture was used without her permission.
She tweeted:
For the record i havent done any fairness cream campaigns, this is a used picture.
Why do people keep obsessing over color? Yes i used to be darker, im still tan but light, camera, angles make a huggge difference!
Stop obsessing guys! Dark, fair ITS ALL BEAUTIFUL IN ITS OWN WAY! pic.twitter.com/4TtC402eOW— manshapasha (@manshapasha) June 27, 2018
On her Instagram account she elaborated:
In all honesty, we just can’t agree more with Mansha, the issue of copyrights and concent has been a major issue when it comes to Pakistan and this must be addressed while there are laws available for it. Moreover, the concept of personality is much more than the skin tone.
