Broadcast journalist and news anchor Javeria Zaid is one of the finest names joined the news media industry in the last few years. Starting off from Waqt news and then being part of the pioneer team of Lahore news to now being a face of Dunya News, Javeria has kept making progress with her good work and soft-spoken conduct.
Recently Javeria added another feather to her hat as she hosted Dunya News’ hugely popular show Think Tank over the weekend. Javeria took over the host’s seat as the stand-in anchor in the absence of the regular host of the show, Marrium Zeshan.

Previously known as Javeria Saleem, Javeria Zaid says that along with all the pressure of hosting such a show with a decorated panel and the responsibility of hosting Think Tank, “was such a great experience,” and she literally enjoyed it. Talking about working with a panel of some really popular names of the media industry, Javeria said:
“Hosting such panel, on the face of it, looks difficult. However, anchoring Think Tank was not difficult at all because all the participants of the panel were extremely supportive.”
Javeria Saleem holds an MSc degree in Communication Studies from Punjab University with a major in development journalism. Her practical experience with media started with Daily Times in 2009 where she was an Intern. After completing her degree for six years she worked in various industries as a communication professional such as OvexTechnologies Pakistan, Faces Pakistan, and SoloInsight Inc. In 2016, Javeria left the IT industry to join media as a broadcast journalist and joined the Nawa e Waqt group as a news anchor for Waqt TV. Within a short span of time, she became an important part of the newscast team of the network and face of the channel.
IT professional turned broadcast journalist and news anchor, Javeria belives that Think Tank is a powerful show, “When I was told that I will be hosting Think Tank, I was excited and nervous at the same time because it is such a powerful show with senior Panelists and I had not hosted any political show before.”

Javeria joined Dunya News Network in November 2016 as news anchor of Lahore News HD, for the same channel she hosted Ramzan special show in 2017. Later, Javeria was promoted to the national news channel of the network, Dunya News.
The Dunya News anchor says that she wants to host a political show in the future, “Maria Memon inspires me a lot. For future plans, I would love to host a political [talk] show. It [hosting Think Tank] was such a great learning experience for me, which, I thoroughly enjoyed it.”
