Media is not all about anchoring or hosting, it Is much more than that: Nabeeha Ejaz talks about her workshop with media students at FC College, Lahore

Nabeeha Ejaz is associated with media Industry for a decade now. She is a well known TV presenter and host who has anchored various TV shows at top news channels throughout her career and has set a mark for herself in the industry.

While currently she is associated with Neo TV HD since she joined it back in 2017, where she hosts the morning show Neo Pakistan, recently, Nabeeha was seen making an expert guest appearance on an academic workshop held at FC College Lahore.

When asked about the nature of workshop,  Nabeeha told us that the main topic of the worship was how to become a Successful Anchor?  And She  was invited to share her own experience with the students who aim to be part of this industry in future.

Nabeeha was accompanied by Salman Haider, another senior anchor person and host at Neo TV HD.

While talking to MediaSpringPK about her experience of the overall workshop, Nabeeha replied back cheerfully saying :

“ My experience with the student crowd was great and such interactive sessions are extremely important for the students to get rid of any kind of misconceptions about our field work.”

Nabeeha pointed out that the students take the field of media as an easy and less demanding job and thus fail to see the hardcore struggles behind it. She then made another interesting remark quoting that the students who enter this field after studying media subjects have a legitimate advantage over students from the non media fields like medicine and engineering because they are already familiar with  the fundamentals of upcoming field job because of their academic history.

When we asked Nabeeha about her personal feelings when she interacted with the students as a mentor, she stated that:

“I thoroughly enjoyed the session myself , interacting with these students refreshed my own memories of student life. I clearly remember when I was a Mass Communication student myself at PU from 2009-2011. It’s been 10 years now.”

Nabeeha went on, recalling her memories that:

“I actually was able to recall my own interactions with my teachers and expert guests from the media industry whenever they visited our university while I was giving the workshop.”

When we asked Nabeeha which message she specifically gave her students, she answered saying that:

“Whenever I get a chance to meet media students, I specially ask them to question themselves that why they want to become an anchor?  My focus has always been to spread awareness that media is not all about anchoring or hosting, it Is much more than that.”

Nabeeha than continued further with how she helped the student community at FC college to understand this, by saying that:

“In this workshop as well I tried my best to enlighten students about how diverse the field of media is. And how students should be fully aware of their own talent first and then choose the field accordingly.”

At the end, Nabeeha spoke two words about the student preferences and talent accommodation in Media Industry by saying that:

“ Every student is different and the media industry has a lot of room for different talents. And from talent I mean writing talent, content creation, field reporting film making. These are areas where we also need a lot of new talent and fresh ideas but students are only attracted to anchoring as its an onscreen job.

“However, I always try to guide these students and explain to them that they must prefer polishing their core Talent.”

This was the end note of our interview with ever talented Nabeeha Ejaz and it was productive as always.

She is surely a gem of a person and we wish her all the best for her future endeavors!
