Meesha Shafi‘s first look for Coke Studio, Season 9 revealed. The season is premiering on 13th August, 2016. Meehsa’s return to the platform this season marks her fourth appearance on the most coveted music show in South Asia.
Featuring across two songs this season, in this first reveal Meesha is seen wearing a coveted, hot off the Lakme Fashion Week runway Rohit Bal creation styled by herself, hair and make-up et al. With on-ground styling assistance by Ehtasham Ansari, Meesha wears bespoke jewellery pieces from her personal collection for this look.

A multi-faceted personality, Meesha Shafi is one of South Asia’s most edgy and exciting personalities. She is the only current performing artist from Pakistan who has worked in Hollywood, Bollywood and Lollywood. Meesha Shafi launched her solo music career with a performance on the global music platform, Coke Studio.
Her session performance, Alif Allah (Jugni) in collaboration with Pakistani folk legend Arif Lohar received over 25 million hits on Youtube alone making it the most viewed song ever produced in Pakistan by a female artist. Shafi’s latest television blockbuster, the epic fantasy Mor Mahal, is currently taking screens by storm in Pakistan; specifically her portrayal of the female lead character ‘Wazir Begum’.
She has starred in the Hollywood blockbuster The Reluctant Fundamentalist by Mira Nair and has been critically acclaimed for her work in the Bollywood film Bhaag Milka Bhaag, which was among the highest ever grossing films the year it was released as was the Pakistani film Waar, in which she also starred. She continues to be the recipient of a diversity of awards and accolades for her music and acting alike.
