Men’s ODI Asia Cup 2023 Schedule Confirmed: Cricket’s Grand Celebration Set to Begin in Asia

Cricket enthusiasts across Asia are gearing up for the highly anticipated Men’s ODI Asia Cup 2023, as the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the tournament’s schedule. The prestigious 50-over format competition is scheduled to take place from 30th August to 17th September, with Pakistan hosting four matches and Sri Lanka serving as the venue for nine matches.

The Men’s ODI Asia Cup 2023 will see the participation of five teams, including hosts Pakistan, arch-rivals India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. The action will kick off in Multan, Pakistan, on 30th August, with the host nation taking on Nepal in the opening clash. Subsequently, the tournament will shift to Lahore, where three more matches will be held.

In Sri Lanka, Kandy will host the first three matches, including the opener for the home side against Bangladesh on 31st August. The much-awaited clash between Pakistan and India will take place in Kandy on 2nd September. If both teams progress to the Super-4 stage, fans can anticipate an epic encounter between the two cricketing powerhouses in Colombo on 10th September.

Mr. Zaka Ashraf, Chair of the PCB Management Committee, highlighted the significance of the Asia Cup returning to Pakistan after 15 years. He assured fans and participants of world-class arrangements and hospitality, as well as the opportunity for Pakistan to reclaim the title they last won in 2012.
