Middlesex County Cricket Club Signs MoU with Pakistan Cricket Board to Enhance Collaboration

In an exciting move towards fostering collaboration and promoting the growth of cricket, Middlesex County Cricket Club and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during a visit to PCB headquarters in Lahore. The delegation from Middlesex County Cricket Club, led by CEO Mr. Andrew Cornish, Director Mr. Alan Coleman, and Club representative Mr. Mohsin Wariach, engaged in discussions with PCB officials over two days.

The meetings encompassed various aspects related to the development and expansion of the game, and Middlesex County Cricket Club even made a presentation at the National Cricket Academy.

Key highlights from the MoU include:

  1. T10 League Partnership: Both parties expressed their intent to establish a partnership for the development and joint launch of a T10 league. The league will feature equal equity partnership between Middlesex County Cricket Club and PCB, subject to agreed-upon concepts, business plans, financial projections, and management structures.
  2. Exhibition Matches: There are plans to explore the organization of exhibition matches in Pakistan and the UK, featuring teams from the PSL and those under the Middlesex County Cricket Club’s purview.
  3. Training and Education Programs: Collaborative efforts will be made to conduct training and educational programs. This will encompass courses for coaches, analysts, umpires, and curators/groundsmen, with a focus on the latest technological advancements in cricket.
  4. Women’s Cricket Development: Middlesex County Cricket Club will work closely with PCB to develop and oversee training programs for women’s cricket teams under PCB, including the Pakistan national women’s team.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Zaka Ashraf, Chair of the PCB Management Committee, PCB COO Salman Naseer, Director International Usman Wahla, and PSL Commissioner Naila Bhatti. This exciting collaboration signifies a commitment to further elevate the sport and explore new horizons for the mutual benefit of both Middlesex County Cricket Club and the PCB. The signing of this MoU opens doors to a new era of cricketing synergy and development on the international stage.
