Sonya Hussyn has numerous dramas to her credit. This cherished household name has been garnering a lot of love over the years with back to back stellar performances. For her ongoing project ‘Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida’, Hussyn plays the lead role opposite Zahid Ahmed. The duo also immaculately executed their previous characters in the fan favorite drama ‘Ishq Zahe Naseeb.’
Before the airing of the first episode, Pakistanis did take to social media comparing the drama to the 90’s Indian blockbuster ‘Judaai.’ However, 2 episodes down the feedback has already changed.
The stellar cast also includes Mansha Pasha, Javed Sheikh, Sajida Syed, Angeline Malik and Mizna Waqas. So far only Sonya Hussyn, Zahid Ahmed, Mansha Pasha and Javed Sheikh’s character have been revealed up until the second episode. Hussyn plays the character Ulfat, a woman who has certain dreams, few desires – which many of us can relate to while Zahid Ahmed plays the character Shahaan, a loving and caring husband who only wants to keep his wife happy. Mansha Pasha plays Shafaq, a strong-headed independent woman who is a sucker for rules and happens to be Shahaan’s boss (also Javed Sheikh’s daughter).

Episode 1 begins with Ulfat’s dream of being rich after which she wakes up and seems to be in a good mood. In the latter part of the episode, Ulfat gets disheartened because she loses her prize bond and asks her aunt, “Why does Allah discriminate by giving some people everything and some nothing?” to which her aunt replies, “Allah is the best of planners. Sometimes he tests us by giving too much and sometimes by taking from us. We should not be impatient; we should always have faith in him.” Later on, Shahaan takes Ulfat out on a date to an expensive restaurant where she abstains from ordering a lot in order to save her husband’s money. After coming home, Shahaan and Ulfat get into an argument. While arguing, Shahaan says, “Whoever does not live in the present ends up having a bad future.”
On the other hand, Shahaan in the office scolds his new boss Shafaq mistakenly but she finds it cute and leaves the cabin. However, after realizing that she was his boss, he apologies and resigns from the office while Shafaq seems to be impressed by him.
Episode 2 features Ulfat and Shahaan’s wedding anniversary and Shahaan promises Ulfat to give her gold earrings as an anniversary present that she has been wanting for so long. Ulfat gets so excited, she tells her friends and they force her to wear it at their committee party to which she agrees. On the flipside, Shahaan on his way to the ATM gets mugged and he ends up losing his money meant for the earrings and phone. Shahaan with the intention of not hurting Ulfat gives her fake gold earrings as per his friends’ advise. Ulfat gets so happy, she wears it to the committee party and all her friends start making fun of her. Crushed between her desires and reality, Ulfat gets really hurt. She tells Shahaan he shouldn’t have lied to her and that he shouldn’t have made a fool of her.
Later in episode 3, Shafaq meets Ulfat at a shopping mall. She tries to tempt her by offering food and some shopping but Ulfat controls herself and declines all her offers in a dignified manner. Shafaq also asks Ulfat to convey her message to Shahaan that she is planning on promoting him. Will Shafaq come between Ulfat and Shahaan’s relationship? We’re foreseeing Ulfat and Shahaan’s marriage turning upside down in the coming episodes. Can’t wait for the rest of the story to unravel.
