With less than twenty days remaining until the start of the highly anticipated Global T20 Canada, fans in Canada and around the world are eagerly awaiting the cricket extravaganza. Set to take place at the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario, the tournament promises to be a thrilling spectacle. Among the six participating teams is the Montreal Tigers, who are determined to make their mark this year under the guidance of coaching maestro Dav Whatmore.
Although the Montreal Tigers secured the fifth position on the points table in the previous two editions of the competition, they have assembled a revitalized squad for this year’s tournament and are ready to contend for the title. Dav Whatmore, their coach, expressed his excitement about the talented players they have acquired during the draft process. “We’ve had a great draft, and I must say we’ve acquired some incredibly talented players to form our squad, which has all of us excited,” he stated.
Whatmore went on to highlight the exceptional skills and potential of the selected players, emphasizing their natural ability, determination, and strong desire for success. He eagerly anticipates watching them in action and representing the Montreal Tigers on the field.
In addition to discussing the team’s player selection, Whatmore also spoke about the team philosophy and the culture they aim to cultivate. He emphasized the importance of recognizing the special qualities that set certain individuals apart and change the game. “As a coach, it is my responsibility to look beyond the obvious. We believe in nurturing talent, providing opportunities, and creating an environment where every player can thrive,” he explained. The coach firmly believes that every player, regardless of background or experience, deserves a fair chance to showcase their abilities and leave their mark on the cricketing world.
With unwavering confidence in his team, Whatmore concluded, “Cricket fans, keep your eyes open, as the Montreal Tigers are all set to roar louder than ever in Season 3 of GT20.”
