Multan to host two Test as PCB Announces Revised Schedule for Pakistan-England Test Series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the revised schedule for the upcoming three-match ICC World Test Championship series between Pakistan and England, taking place from 7 to 28 October 2024.

The second Test, originally scheduled to be played at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium from 15-19 October, has been moved to the Multan Cricket Stadium due to ongoing renovations at the Karachi venue in preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The other two Tests will proceed as originally planned, with the first Test in Multan and the third in Rawalpindi.

The National Bank Stadium, along with Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, is set to host matches during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which has prompted the rescheduling.

Both teams, Pakistan and England, will arrive in Multan on 2 October to prepare for the series.

Revised Schedule:

  • 7-11 October – First Test, Multan
  • 15-19 October – Second Test, Multan
  • 24-28 October – Third Test, Rawalpindi
