News anchor, TV host, and columnist Muneezay Moeen has returned to Lahore and joined City News Network’s national channel 24 News HD. The former Samaa anchor will be hosting panel-based news analysis show Debate News Analysis for the channel.
Muneezay shared this news on her social media:
“I have been honored by 24 News HD to host a program namely Debate News Analysis (DNA) Monday to Thursday every week with senior analysts PJ Mir, Iftikhar Ahmed, Naveed Chaudhry, and Javed Iqbal. I seek well wishes of all,” wrote the anchor.
Muneezay is associated with the media industry for almost eight years. She has previously worked for Alite, she was part of the launching team of Neo TV in 2015.
In 2016 she joined Sach TV in Islamabad as a TV host and news anchor and in 2017 she returned to Lahore to join Dunya TV network where she was part of the Lahore News launching team. At Lahore News, Muneezay was part of the News anchoring team as well as she hosted the show Mehman e Khas for the channel.
In October 2017, Muneezay joined Pakistan’s first HD news channel, 92 News and until May 2018 she remained part of the channel. In June 2018, Muneezay joined another channel launching team this time she became part of Public News. In June 2019, Muneezay left Public News to join back 92 News, during this move she perhaps became the first-ever news anchor to appear in news bulletins of two news channels in a day as she did the morning bulletin for Public News. And in the evening she was on the screen of 92 News HD Plus for the bulletin.
In 2019, she became part of Bol News in Karachi and remained with the network for almost a year and in later in 2020 she joined Public News in Lahore.
In December 2021, Muneezay took a break from news anchoring and TV hosting as she took over the role of media secretary of the Governor of Punjab.
Muneezay graduated in mass communication from Punjab University in 2017. Muneezay is also a writer and social activist. She writes weekly articles and interviews for the English newspaper Daily Times and writes Urdu columns too. She also heads a media forum, Global Women Media, that she launched in 2021.
