In a strategic and timely move, seasoned news anchor, TV host, and columnist Muneezay Moeen steps into the spotlight once again, this time as the face of 24 News HD’s elections special road show. With the reboot of the renowned program Zuban e Khalq, Muneezay aims to delve deep into the heart of constituencies, uncovering ground realities, factual insights, and the sentiments of the populace in the lead-up to the elections.
Muneezay Moeen has been part of 24 News since 2022 where she has been hosting the prime time show of the channel named DNA, debate news analysis with senior analysts.
Muneezay Moeen took to social media to share her excitement about this latest venture, leveraging her nearly eight years of experience in the media industry.
Her journey spans various esteemed networks, starting from her tenure at Alite and Neo TV’s launch team in 2015. Her career trajectory led her to Islamabad’s Sach TV as a TV host and news anchor, followed by her significant role in the launch of Lahore News while also anchoring and hosting shows like Mehman e Khas.
Notably, Muneezay’s footprint in the industry extended to several high-profile roles across diverse channels, including stints at 92 News, Public News, Bol News, and later returning to Public News in Lahore in 2020. Her versatility was evident as she effortlessly maneuvered between channels, becoming a trailblazer by appearing on news bulletins for two different channels in a single day, a feat rarely achieved. In December 2021, Muneezay took a break from news anchoring and TV hosting as she took over the role of media secretary of the Governor of Punjab. In 2022 she returned to screen with Samaa and soon moved back to Lahore where she joined her current channel 24 News as the programme host of show DNA – Debate News Analysis.
A graduate in mass communication from Punjab University, Muneezay Moeen is not only a prominent media figure but also a writer and social activist. Her contributions to publications like the English newspaper Daily Times through weekly articles and interviews, coupled with her Urdu columns, showcase her multifaceted talents.
Furthermore, her establishment of the media forum Global Women Media in 2021 underscores her commitment to empowering voices within the media landscape.
The show, previously hosted by Farwa Waheed, had seen a hiatus since Farwa’s departure in 2022, leaving a vacuum in its wake. Muneezay Moeen’s return to the screens breathes new life into this pioneering road show, transforming it into a comprehensive elections-centric program.
With Muneezay Moeen at the helm, Zuban e Khalq’s resurrection as an elections-focused program on 24 News HD promises to be a compelling and insightful journey into the heart of Pakistan’s electoral landscape, offering viewers an in-depth understanding of the country’s political pulse at the grassroots level.
