Famous Pakistani writer, artist, singer, activist and a motivational speaker Muniba Mazari has been announced Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women. Muniba is the first Pakistani woman to be hold this position. UN Omen is the entity of United Nations for gender equality and the empowerment of women.
Muniba shared the news on her Instagram:
The announcement was made during an event in Islamabad where Muniba said that she’d like to work for women empowerment to end gender-based discrimination and make gender equality a reality by 2030, HIP in Pakistan reported. Muniba said that as a the Goodwill Ambassador she will;
“Dedicate her efforts towards the empowerment of women and girls, and would serve as an advocate for UN Women’s Planet 50-50 by 2030: Step It Up for Gender Equality and other campaigns.”
