Muqaddar Episode 9: Strong performance doing justice to Muqaddar’s gripping storyline

Starring Faysal Qureshi and Madiha Imam in the lead roles, with Ali Ansari in a prominent role, Muqaddar is another intense and gripping story by 7th Sky Entertainment. Written by Iqbal Bano, and directed by Shehrazade Shaikh, the story mainly revolves around feudalism and its atrocities. So far, the story has progressed significantly, and it has successfully grabbed the attention of the viewers with its pace and some strong performances of the lead actors. Last night’s episode mainly focused on Raima coming to terms with the sudden change in her life after her marriage with Saif-ur-Rahman.

Saif-ur-Rahman played brilliantly by Faysal Qureshi, is a typical feudal lord who is used to having things his way. Hence, after marrying Raima, he makes sure that she understands what he wants from her. Raima is like a prized possession for him, and he wants her to stay the way he likes it. He is oblivious and unconcerned about her feelings, and wants that she stays dressed up like a doll to please him. However, Raima’s feelings for Saif-ur-Rahman are completely in contrast. It is really difficult for her to accept what has happened to her life in just a span of a few days. Her happy life with her family has turned upside down, and her love of life, Haris, has been snatched away from her by none other than the person she is married to. And, she is asked to do things that she doesn’t approve of or want to be a part of.

On the other hand, Haris is anxious and wants to go to any lengths to bring Raima back and make Saif-ur-Rahman pay the price of kidnapping her. His parents, however, are reluctant and make him understand the influence, power, and authority Saif-ur-Rahman has and prevent him from doing anything against the feudal lord.

Overall, the episode focused on how Raima was being forced to come to terms with the reality, and her marriage with Saif-ur-Rahman. Madiha Imam was exceptional as Raima and made us feel for her at every step of the way. Her portrayal of Raima’s feelings and emotions were strong and powerful. Ali Ansari also did complete justice to his character and brought out Haris’s strong intentions on screen in an intelligent manner. Faysal Qureshi’s performance also deserves appreciation for how he makes you despise Saif-ur-Rahman and sympathize with Raima.

Now that there is virtually no turning back for Raima from the trap of Saif-ur-Rahman, we are looking forward to find out what there is in store for Raima and how the story will progress further.
