Naseem Shah Commences Final Phase of Rehabilitation at National Cricket Academy

In a significant step towards full recovery, Pakistan’s promising fast bowler, Naseem Shah, initiated the conclusive phase of his rehabilitation at the esteemed National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.

Sidelined due to an injury sustained during the Asia Cup in September, the talented pacer underwent surgery in the United Kingdom to address the concern. Subsequently, he underwent an extensive two-month rehabilitation program and initial training in the UK, supported by Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) provisions for his medical expenses. During this period, Shah received dedicated care from a team of adept medical professionals, ensuring comprehensive recovery measures were in place.

Continuing his recovery journey, Naseem Shah has now resumed his rehabilitation regimen at the NCA in Lahore. Under the guidance of a proficient strength and conditioning coach, a physiotherapist, and a specialized doctor, Shah has commenced a routine consisting of light gym exercises. Additionally, he has initiated partial bowling practice and is set to embark on batting drills starting tomorrow, marking a gradual yet positive progression in his rehabilitation process.

This carefully structured program under the vigilant supervision of the adept team at NCA stands as a pivotal phase in Shah’s quest to return to full fitness, eagerly anticipated by fans and the cricketing fraternity.

The Pakistan Cricket Board remains optimistic about Shah’s recovery and is committed to providing him with the necessary resources and support to ensure a comprehensive and successful return to the cricket field.
