At the Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium, Nashra Sundhu delivered a scintillating spell to secure a 48-run win for Conquerors over Stars in the seventh-round fixture of the National Women’s One-Day Tournament. Defending a modest total of 167, Conquerors bowled out Stars for just 118 in 39.4 overs.

Left-arm spinner Nashra was the standout performer, claiming three wickets for a mere 10 runs in her eight overs. Leg-spinner Syeda Aroob Shah ably supported her, picking up three scalps for 26 runs. Despite valiant efforts from Sadaf Shamas (28) and Rameen Shamim (27*), Stars struggled against the disciplined bowling attack.

Earlier, Conquerors’ captain Fatima Sana provided stability with a crucial 34 off 35 balls, striking three boundaries and a six. Dua Majid contributed 26, and Nashra Sundhu chipped in with an unbeaten 20 to push the total to 166 in 44.5 overs. Stars’ Waheeda Akhtar was exceptional with the ball, claiming four wickets for 57 runs. Anosha Nasir and Neelam Mushtaq picked up two wickets apiece.

Challengers vs Invincibles
At the Diamond Ground in Islamabad, Challengers handed Invincibles their first loss of the tournament, chasing down a target of 189 with four wickets in hand and 50 balls to spare.

Aliya Riaz showcased her class with an unbeaten 73 off 74 balls, smashing eight fours and two sixes. Her commanding innings ensured a smooth chase, with support from Umm-e-Hani, who scored a composed 47 off 72 balls. Earlier, Shawaal Zulfiqar (29) and Gull Rukh (24) provided crucial contributions to the Challengers’ innings.

Invincibles, missing regular captain Muneeba Ali due to an eye infection, were led by Omaima Sohail, who top-scored with 76 off 112 balls, laced with 10 boundaries. Areesha Noor added a handy 37 to guide the team to 188 all out in 45 overs.

For Challengers, Tasmia Rubab was the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets for 27 runs. Samina Aftab (2-12) and Zaib un Nisa (2-21) provided valuable support. Invincibles’ spinners Ghulam Fatima (3-48) and Omaima Sohail (2-24) tried to keep their team in the game but couldn’t stop Challengers’ batters.
