Nestle Pakistan held an interactive bloggers’ meet in Lahore which was more of an opportunity for the preview of the United for Healthier Kids movement for the bloggers. This movement was started with a wholesome objective to inculcate the healthier habits in children of today’s era who are left behind because of the unhealthy eatery. The basic belief of the movement is to create better tomorrow today i.e. “behtar kal, aj se”.
As a matter of fact, the children aged from 3-12 years are in need of healthy food to grow mentally and physically to come up on the professional screen as a responsible citizen enlightening up Pakistan. So the United for Healthier Kid step forward as the light came into the sky. United for Healthier Kid is the platform that aims to bring behavior change for the children. The partners that are supporting the campaign are Nestlé Pakistan, Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform, Lahore Grammar School, Jang Media Group, Geo Network, Service Sales Corporation, Silver Oaks School and Parwaan.
The prime focus of the campaign is to promote and spread awareness about healthy eating, drinking more water, and be more physically active as these three traits once installed in kids it will help them in longer run and help them lead a healthy and balanced life once they grow up.
Dreadfully the nourishment and health situation at current era is a serious threat for our lives that one must take a notice of. Turning the pages over the history depicts that people used to be healthy and nourished when they eat healthy food which is somehow lost nowadays. It is the need of hour to ponder upon our situation and clarify that ARE WE EATING HEALTHY? DON’T WE NEED SOME NUTRTIONAL FOOD? According to the statistics Pakistan stood third highest for stunned growth in children; 43.7% of the total children under the age of 5 suffer from it. Moreover 15.1% are wasted and 31.5% are underweight. That is indeed a wretched situation and demand attention.

The United for Healthier Kids movement has come up with the objectives that are “Move More Sit Less, Choose to Drink Water and Choose Nutritiously Varied Food Options”. Further it not only provides the awareness for parenting but also precise the proposed solutions for raising healthier children.
