New venture of Global Neighbourhood For Media Innovation – Media Baithak has finally started its operations at Karachi

Media Baithak started operations in Karachi, it is one of a kind platform to be a collaborative bridge between media and civil society. On its maiden event MoJo- Mobile Journalism training, Media Baithak received an impressive response from media and civil society members, the journalists were trained about techniques and tools, importance and global implementation of mobile journalism.

Media Baithak is a project of Global Neighbourhood For Media Innovation and in the first Media Baithak session participants from Karachi benefited from the MoJo -Mobile Journalism training. A large number of journalists were trained by Ayaza Khan – Founder for MoJo Pakistan. Ayaz covered all aspects of MoJo; story writing, scheduling, storyboarding, shoot live, camera framing and editing. The training was a blend of media and civil society members, where journalists took live interviews from the civil society experts- Famous tax lawyer Mr. Anwar Kashif Mumtaz, Famous Educationist and social science expert Dr.Razia Zahid, Singer, and Motivational Speaker – Ayesha Adil. All the participating journalists were given the task to work on stories by taking the in-depth point of views of civil society experts.

The executive director of Media Baithak Najia Ahsar described the role of media and civil society in social justice, accountability and democratic process, she further explained the importance of collaboration between the two main pillars of the nation- media and civil society. Najia said:

“Media Baithak aims to do so. Media Baithak will not only provide the technical and up-to-date training to the journalists but will also train and guide about the news making process because without a grasping story all technical training and equipment would be futile.”

Attendee of Media Baithak and famous investigative Journalist Masood Raza also emphasized on the importance of collaborating activities between media and civil society members.

At the end of the training, participants were awarded training certificates whereas civil society members received memorandum shields.

    This is Ayaz Khan, Mobile Journalism Trainer, and founder of MOJO Pakistan, .
    can you please correct my name spelling in this below blink where you guys were used Ayeza khan at every where instead of Ayaz khan.
