New Zealand Men’s Cricket Team to Tour Pakistan for Five T20Is

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the New Zealand men’s cricket team will tour Pakistan from 14th April to participate in a series of five T20 Internationals (T20Is). This much-anticipated tour will see the Blackcaps competing in various cities across Pakistan.

The Blackcaps are scheduled to arrive in the capital city on 14th April, following which they will engage in training and practice sessions on 16th and 17th April. The action-packed series will kick off with three T20Is at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on 18th, 20th, and 21st April.

Subsequently, both teams will head to Lahore, where they will clash in the final two T20Is of the series on 25th and 27th April, respectively. All matches are set to commence at 7pm PKT.

The PCB has prioritized accessibility for cricket fans by setting affordable ticket prices for the series. Tickets will be available for purchase at selected TCS outlets and online through pcb.tcs.com.pk. Further details regarding ticket sales will be announced in due course.

This tour marks the third visit of the Blackcaps to Pakistan within a span of 17 months. Their previous tours in December 2022/January 2023 and April 2023 encompassed Test matches, ODIs, and white-ball cricket, highlighting the strengthening bonds between the PCB and New Zealand Cricket (NZC).

Usman Wahla, Director of International Cricket at PCB, expressed delight over the upcoming tour, emphasizing the enduring camaraderie between the two cricketing nations. He highlighted the significance of the series as part of Pakistan’s preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup later this year.

The series schedule is as follows:

  • 14 April: New Zealand arrive in Pakistan
  • 16-17 April: Training/practice
  • 18 April: 1st T20I, Rawalpindi
  • 20 April: 2nd T20I, Rawalpindi
  • 21 April: 3rd T20I, Rawalpindi
  • 25 April: 4th T20I, Lahore
  • 27 April: 5th T20I, Lahore
