Later on her Instagram account, Ayesha re-shared our post and wrote a very interesting and heartfelt note about her journey.

She started with calling her time at City42 as a great learning experience:
“It’s been ten years 😉…. These pictures are from my early days in city 42 in 2009. My very first learning experience & I still cherish all those memories… I was just a university student when I joined, had no professional experience.”
Ayehsa has been one of the key faces of Geo News, with that fact she has been known for her on-screen style and dressing sense. But it was not the case in her early days, as she wrote:
“No sense of dressing & not many dresses actually… I still remember how my cousin and khala borrowed me their dresses for my early days & later on my mother would get them stitched for me…”
Busting the myth of news anchors being highly paid, Aysha wrote:
“Salary wasn’t much but at least I was earning & it was such a sense of independence. I still remember the day I’d get my salary, I used to ask my driver to stop over my favourite bakery before dropping me home & that I’d buy all my favourite snacks & for family.“

Ayesha thinks, gratitude is key for learning. She wrote:
“Enjoy your learning period with a sense of gratitude. No one knows what you have gone through when they accuse you of getting ‘lifafas’ call you ‘eye candy’ or ‘just prompter reader’… It’s only you who know the struggle & how you came so far still carrying a kind heart… take care of that heart ❤️”
We thoroughly enjoyed reading this note and reproducing it here…. Cherry on top we start missing her screen presence all over again.
