Omair Bin Yousuf’s unbeaten 250 propels Pakistan Shaheens to 521-3 declared on day two against Zimbabwe A

On the second day of the first four-day match against Zimbabwe A at Kwekwe Sports Club, Omair Bin Yousuf hit an unbeaten 250 as Pakistan Shaheens declared their first innings on 521 for three in 115.3 overs.

Resuming their innings at the overnight score of 352 for two, Kamran Ghulam was the first wicket to fall in the 88th over with a score of 388 runs on the board. After that, vice-captain Hussain Talat joined Omair and both players stitched an unbroken 133 runs partnership for the fourth wicket.

Omair Bin Yousuf, who was 161 not out overnight, brought up his maiden first-class double-century during the partnership, surpassing his previous best first-class score of 174. Omair remained unbeaten on 250 off 342 balls, smashing 27 fours and one six while Talat remained not out on 51 off 90 deliveries, hitting six fours and a six.

In response, Zimbabwe A was 112 for four in 41 overs at stumps, with captain Roy Kaia returning unbeaten on 12. Dion Myers was the top scorer with 56 off 92 deliveries, which included eight fours and one six. Opening batter Tanunurwa Makoni made 21 runs off 59 deliveries, including two fours before falling to Mehran Mumtaz. Left-arm spinner Mehran Mumtaz completed the day with figures of two for 32 in 11 overs. Zimbabwe A lost Joylord Gumble (1) and Wessly Madhevere (15) due to run-outs.

Pakistan Shaheens declared their innings in the 116th over of the innings, with an enormous lead of 409 runs.
