Pakistan Cricket Board Plans Major Venue Upgrades Ahead of ICC Champions Trophy 2025

In a significant development for cricket in Pakistan, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced plans to upgrade three major venues in the country ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This announcement came during discussions between the PCB and an ICC delegation visiting Pakistan to inspect venues and facilities for the upcoming tournament.

Led by Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi, the meeting with the ICC delegation, headed by Chris Tetley, ICC’s Head of Events, focused on ensuring the lead-up to and successful conduct of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The delegation also included Sarah Edgar, Senior Manager event operations at ICC, and Aun Zaidi, Manager event operations.

Expressing delight at Pakistan hosting the ICC Tournament, Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the board’s commitment to providing top-notch facilities for the historic tournament. He stated, “The PCB will arrange top-notch facilities as per the stature of this historic tournament,” affirming the board’s dedication to ensuring a successful and memorable event for cricket fans across the country.

The planned upgrades to the three major venues in Pakistan signify the PCB’s determination to enhance the infrastructure and overall experience for players, officials, and spectators alike.
