Pakistan Cricket Board Reveals Jam-Packed Schedule for 2023-24 Men’s Domestic Cricket Season

In an exciting development for cricket enthusiasts, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the highly anticipated schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 men’s domestic cricket season, promising a thrilling season ahead.

The action-packed calendar features seven tournaments, including two U19 tournaments, set to kick off in September and run through December. The department tournaments’ schedule will be announced in due course, adding even more excitement to the cricketing calendar.

Quaid-e-Azam Trophy: September 10 – October 26

The cricketing extravaganza will commence with the prestigious Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, featuring 29 matches. The tournament starts on September 10 and concludes on October 26. Lahore Region Whites and Lahore Region Blues will go head-to-head in the opening match at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, while other exciting fixtures are set to grace cricket stadiums across Pakistan. The final will be a highlight, taking place at Lahore’s iconic Gaddafi Stadium from October 22 to 26.

Hanif Mohammad Trophy: September 10 – October 25

Running parallel to the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, the non-first-class Hanif Mohammad Trophy will feature 10 regions divided into two groups. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 4 stage, with the group winners earning a coveted spot in next year’s Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. Matches for this tournament will be held in Mirpur, Multan, Muzaffarabad, and Rahim Yar Khan.

Pakistan Cup and Hanif Mohammad Cup: November 1 – November 19

Following the red-ball tournaments, the one-day tournaments, Pakistan Cup and Hanif Mohammad Cup, will take center stage from November 1. Pakistan Cup will be hosted in Abbottabad, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi, while the Hanif Mohammad Cup will be held in AJK, Faisalabad, Multan, and Rahim Yar Khan. These tournaments promise intense one-day cricket action, with the finals scheduled for November 19.

National T20 Cup: November 24 – December 10

Cricket fans can anticipate fireworks as the National T20 unfolds in Karachi from November 24 to December 10. The tournament will feature an initial leg where all 18 regional sides will compete to qualify for the Super 8 stage. Karachi’s National Bank Stadium will host the semi-finals on December 9, followed by the final on December 10, promising edge-of-the-seat T20 cricket action.

National U19 Championship and National U19 Cup: September 15 – November 13

Cricket development takes the spotlight as the U19 tournaments run from September 15 to November 13. Both the National U19 Championship (three-day) and National U19 Cup (one-day) will be held concurrently. The tournaments feature 18 regions divided into three groups, with the top teams advancing to the triangular stage. Excitement peaks with the National U19 Championship final at Rana Naveed Academy in Sheikhupura from November 10 to 13, while the National U19 Cup final is scheduled for October 26 at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
