On Instagram, one passionate Pakistan cricket fan shared a hilarious video highlighting some striking similarities between the two World Cups. The amusing video pointed out common elements, such as India winning the Asia Cup, an injury to a Pakistani pacer, fluctuations in Pakistan’s ODI rankings, and the team captain being unmarried during both tournaments.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan cricket team landed at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, India, on Wednesday, ready to participate in the mega event. They’ve already played one warm-up match, which unfortunately resulted in a five-wicket loss to New Zealand.

Next up, the Green Shirts will face Australia on October 3 in their second warm-up match, gearing up for their World Cup campaign opener against the Netherlands on October 6.

  • October 6 — vs Netherlands in Hyderabad
  • October 10 — vs Sri Lanka in Hyderabad

  • October 23 — vs Afghanistan in Chennai
  • October 27 — vs South Africa in Chennai
  • October 31 — vs Bangladesh in Kolkata

Day matches will commence at 10:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PST), while all other fixtures will be day-night matches, starting at 01:30 PM PST.

Should Pakistan qualify for the semi-finals, those matches will be held in Kolkata. However, if India also makes it to the semi-finals, and they face Pakistan, the match will be hosted in Kolkata instead of Mumbai.
