The Pakistan women’s cricket team concluded a 10-day skills camp at the Hanif Muhammad High Performance Centre in Karachi on Wednesday.
The camp, which was held in two phases, saw a total of 20 players take part, including captain Nida Dar. During the camp, the players received training from the Pakistan women’s team support staff, led by head coach Mark Coles.
Batting coach Taufeeq Umar said that the camp was a success in terms of improving the players’ fitness and skills. He also said that the camp helped to identify potential players for the future.
18-year-old left-arm spinner Anoosha Nasir, who represented Pakistan in the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup in January this year, said that the camp was very helpful. She said that she was able to work on different aspects of her game and also got the chance to play practice matches.

The Pakistan women’s team have a busy international schedule ahead of them, with 15 ODIs and 17 T20Is scheduled to be played between 2023 and 2024. The camp in Karachi will hopefully help the team to prepare for this busy schedule.
