Pakistan Women’s Team Set to Clash with West Indies in Crucial ICC Women’s Championship Series

The Pakistan women’s cricket team is geared up to face the West Indies in a crucial ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25 fixture, commencing with the first ODI at the National Bank Stadium on Thursday. The series holds significant importance for both teams in their quest for direct qualification to the ICC Women’s World Cup.

Nida Dar, leading the fifth-ranked Pakistan side, expressed confidence in her team’s preparation, highlighting the intense training camp and the squad’s determination to continue their recent success. She emphasized the importance of building on their recent performances against a formidable opponent like the West Indies.

Meanwhile, Hayley Matthews, the skipper of the ninth-ranked West Indies team, acknowledged Pakistan’s strength, especially on home soil. She stressed the importance of executing their game plan effectively to overcome the challenges posed by the Pakistani side.

The series, broadcast live on A Sports HD and Geo Super, will also be available for live streaming on various platforms across the country, ensuring fans can follow the action closely. Spectators can enjoy the matches from the Javed Miandad Enclosure, with free entrance to the stadium.

The series will feature three ODIs followed by five T20Is, with the ODIs scheduled to start at 0930 local time on Thursday and Sunday, and at 1530 local time on Tuesday. The matches promise to deliver thrilling cricketing action as both teams vie for crucial championship points.

Australia’s Claire Polosak will officiate as the on-field umpire for all three ODIs, supported by a team of experienced umpires and reserve umpires for the series.
