The Pakistan women’s cricket team has announced a new addition to their squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against South Africa. Talented right-handed batter Shawaal Zulfiqar has been included as the 16th member of the squad, injecting fresh energy into the team’s lineup.
At just 18 years old, Shawaal Zulfiqar has been making strides in women’s cricket. She made her T20I debut during the first match of the recent T20I series against South Africa at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on September 1. Her selection into the national squad reflects her promising talent and potential to contribute to Pakistan’s success on the international stage.
Shawaal Zulfiqar’s cricket journey has seen her represent Pakistan at various levels. She proudly wore the Pakistan U19 jersey during the inaugural edition of the ICC Women’s U19 World Cup held in South Africa earlier this year. Additionally, she featured prominently for the Pakistan Emerging Women’s team in the ACC Emerging Women’s Asia Cup, gaining valuable experience and exposure at the international level.
