Pakistani film industry gears up for a major anthology release this Eid Ul Azha

Pakistan’s film industry is all set to bring a major anthology film to cinemas this Eid Ul Azha, featuring three stories helmed by different renowned filmmakers. The anthology is produced by See Prime and will include a horror comedy, an intense drama, and a mystery script.

The horror-comedy, directed by Nabeel Qureshi, known for movies such as “Na Maloom Afraad” and “Load Wedding”, will star Salman Saqib (Mani) and Hira Mani. Meanwhile, the second film, an intense drama, will be directed by Nadeem Baig, and the screenplay will be written by Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar, known for the film “Punjab Nahi Jaungi” and TV serials like “Meray Paas Tum Ho” and “Dil Lagi”. The drama will star Wahaj Ali and Mehwish Hayat.

Marina Khan, the veteran actress, will make her directorial debut with a mystery script, with no details yet on which stars are attached to the project.

Anthology films are a rare sight in Pakistani cinema and are usually made for OTT platforms. It will be interesting to see the audience’s response to this three-story anthology film’s release on the big screen.
