Pakistani off-spinner Bilal Asif can resume his international career as a bowler after the International Cricket Council declared his bowling action to be legal.
Bilal Asif was reported for a suspect action after his second one-day international appearance against Zimbabwe earlier in October 2015.
Bilal Asif has only played two ODIs for his for Pakistan. Asif was included to the Pakistan Test squad but still waiting to get his test cap. However, injury of fast bowler Imran Khan can lead to Bilal Asif’s Test debut in the final Test at Sharjah on Sunday.
Asif’s action was tested in Chennai, India, all of his deliveries were found to be within the 15-degree level of elbow extension as permitted by the ICC.
