The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed the schedule for the much-anticipated tri-nation ODI series featuring Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa. The series, which serves as an ideal lead-up to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, will be played from 8 to 14 February in Lahore and Karachi.
The iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host the first two matches, while Karachi’s National Bank Stadium will stage the final league match and the grand finale.
Opening Clash in Lahore
The series kicks off on Saturday, 8 February, with hosts Pakistan taking on New Zealand at Gaddafi Stadium in a day/night encounter starting at 2:00 PM local time. The action continues on Monday, 10 February, with New Zealand facing South Africa in a day match beginning at 9:30 AM.
Karachi to Host Decisive Matches
The focus will then shift to Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, where Pakistan will play South Africa in a day/night clash on 12 February, starting at 2:00 PM. The series concludes with the final on Friday, 14 February, under the floodlights at 2:00 PM.
State-of-the-Art Upgrades at Venues
The series will also highlight the PCB’s recent upgrades to both iconic stadiums, aimed at elevating the viewing experience for fans and showcasing Pakistan’s readiness for international cricket on the global stage.
At Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, seating capacity has been increased with new chairs installed throughout the venue. Enhanced lighting with 480 state-of-the-art LED lights will ensure superior broadcast quality. Fans will also enjoy replays on two massive digital screens, with dimensions of 80×30 feet and 22×35 feet, respectively. A new hospitality enclosure for players and officials is nearing completion.
Karachi’s National Bank Stadium has also undergone significant enhancements, including 350 LED lights for improved broadcast visibility and two digital replay screens already in place. Spectator comfort has been prioritized with the installation of 5,000 new chairs, and a new hospitality enclosure for players and officials has been established at the University End.
Training Schedule
Both Pakistan and New Zealand will have a practice session under the lights at Gaddafi Stadium on 6 February, while South Africa will train there on the morning of 9 February.
