Pakistan Cricket Board has made the official announcement about the appointment of Sarfraz Ahmed as Captain of Pakistan T20 Internationals team.
Sarfraz has been serving as Vice Captain of ODI and T20 teams since last year. He is now taking over the captaincy of the shortest form of the game from Shahid Afridi who stepped down from captaincy yesterday after the ICC World T20 2016 early exit of Pakistan team.
Commenting of this announcement Chairman PCB Mr. Sheheryar Khan said
“I spoke to Sarfraz this morning and conveyed to him that he was our natural choice for this position. His appointment is open-ended. I wish him good luck in his new role”.
