Following the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 final, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, conducted a thorough inspection of the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. Accompanied by COO PCB, Salman Naseer, Chairman Naqvi assessed various facilities at the venue across all enclosures.
During his inspection, Chairman Naqvi expressed his concerns regarding the lack of quality infrastructure at the venue. He emphasized the need for swift upgradation of the stadium and stressed the importance of enhancing the viewing experience for fans in all enclosures.
As part of the new upgradation plan, Chairman Naqvi instructed for the protective palisade in the stadium to be relocated further towards the boundary. This measure aims to minimize hindrances and ensure an unobstructed view for spectators.
Additionally, Chairman Naqvi took the opportunity to meet with the groundsmen of the National Bank Stadium, commending them for their hard work and dedication throughout the duration of the PSL 9.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi stated, “As part of our ongoing efforts to upgrade the major cricketing venues in the country, I have directed the team to finalize the upgradation plan for the National Bank Stadium promptly and commence work without delay. It is imperative that the seating facilities at the stadium are comfortable, and the PCB is committed to ensuring the successful implementation and maintenance of the newly upgraded stadium in the future.”
The inspection underscores the PCB’s commitment to enhancing cricket infrastructure and providing an improved experience for fans at cricketing venues across Pakistan.
