PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Inspects Ongoing Renovations at Gaddafi Stadium

Despite the holiday season, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi made a visit to Gaddafi Stadium to review the progress of its ongoing upgrades in preparation for the upcoming Champions Trophy. Naqvi, who is keen on ensuring timely completion of the renovation work, inspected the demolition of offices and other facilities at the stadium.

Chairman Naqvi has set a deadline of June 30 for the completion of the office demolitions and has instructed that the number of machines and laborers be increased immediately following the Eid holidays. Emphasizing the importance of meeting deadlines, he has directed that additional resources be allocated to expedite the work.

During his visit, Naqvi stressed the need to accelerate the pace of work, ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule. He stated that the upgrades to Gaddafi Stadium, along with National Bank Stadium in Karachi and Rawalpindi Stadium, will be finalized before the start of the Champions Trophy.

The PCB Chairman was briefed by officials from the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) on the progress of the project. The General Manager of Infrastructure was also present during the briefing.

The extensive renovation work aims to enhance the facilities and viewing experience for spectators, ensuring that Pakistan is well-prepared to host the prestigious tournament early next year.
